Interested in Bird watching, Arshiya is a core member of the NGO Delhibird, that has been monitoring the Delhi region for bird life on behalf of the Bombay Natural History Society.

She has organized familiarization walks for special groups regularly.

She has personally lead bird walks for children and interestingly for dancers who use the image, metaphor and poetry about birds, as part of the traditional vocabulary of dance.

Part of Delhibird's team of resource people, she has actively participated in a bird ringing camps

She has conducted identification lectures in English and Hindi for audiences as varied as curious fourth graders on the one hand, and for the rangers of Corbett National Park on the other.
